Job Title: Electromechanical Assembly Technician
Location: El Segundo, CA

Job Summary

Responsible in determining and establishes specifications through engineering calculations and layouts to design state-of-the-arts automatic production and assembly equipment. Has knowledge and ability to independently and in a group design, develop and prototype precision mechanical devices and complex automated macinery.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design of complex mechanicl devices and high speed production equipment Generate engineering design documents, prototypes and/or change orders.
  • Responsible in seeing the new or revised product through to satisfactory completion, installation at the customer’s sites.
  • Ability to perform design tasks and work with CAD designers and drafters regarding design, function and testing of Tri-Star products.
  • Investigates and analyzes quality problems, recommends solutions and ensures corrections are made.
  • Monitors the quality of the manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Responsible for leading the efforts in cost reduction projects.

Skills and/or Experience Needed

  • B S or equivalent in mechanical engineering and 10 to 15 years of professional engineering experience in machine design, hi-speed production equipment and mechanisms design and development.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and framing materials, power transmission components.
  • Working Knowledge of Pneumatics and Sensing Devices related to Automatic Production Machines
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently.
  • Working computer knowledge: Autodesk AutoCAD & Inventor,MS Office.

Language Skills

  • Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to employees at all levels and with outside vendors and customers.
  • Must be able to read, write, analyze, and interpret general business reports, procedures, and/or regulations.

Reasoning Ability

  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems, deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must be able to conduct failure analysis and determine corrective action.
  • Must be able to draw solutions from both formal training and experience.
  • Working computer knowledge: Autodesk AutoCAD & Inventor,MS Office.

Additional Skills and Experience preferred (Not Required)

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks within agreed to schedules.
  • Shall have hands-on experience in assembly of comlex mechanical devices.
  • Shall exhibit ability to underdand workings of complex electro-mechanical,

Physical Demands

  • While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and/or bend
  • This position uses a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data.
  • This position may be subject to interruptions that may cause a change in immediate priorities and/or work focus.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move machine components or boxes up to 20 pounds.
  • May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that may be subject to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials and chemicals.
